Hello! My name is Haolin He. I am currently a second-year PhD student in the DSP Lab of the Department of Electronic Engineering at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Before this, I obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Communication Engineering from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China in Chengdu. I graduated with an honors degree and was recognized as an Outstanding Graduate at both the university and provincial levels.

I am now supervised by Qiuqiang Kong. My undergraduate thesis advisor is Fan Zhang.

My research interests are in artificial intelligence and its applications to various signal processing problems, such as audio processing and neuroimaging analysis.

Sep 02, 2025 Our paper, “DeepNuParc: A Novel Deep Clustering Framework for Fine-scale Parcellation of Brain Nuclei Using Diffusion MRI Tractography,” has been accepted by NeuroImage.
Jul 01, 2025 We win the first place in DCASE2025, Task 5, Audio Question Answering! This is the first year that DCASE has established an Audio Question Answering track.
Sep 01, 2024 My first paper, titled ‘A Novel Deep Clustering Framework for Fine-Scale Parcellation of Amygdala Using DMRI Tractography,’ is published at ISBI2024, and I am selected as one of the 50 Student Travel Grant Winners worldwide.
Aug 01, 2024 I join the DSP Lab, EE, CUHK, and I’m excited to meet everyone!
Jun 30, 2024 I graduate from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, receiving both university-level and provincial-level Outstanding Graduate awards, along with distinctions in Honors Bachelor, Honors Courses, and Honors Research.
